About

Built by someone who reads the fine print

MyCreditCardPayoffCalculator exists because the numbers that decide how long you carry a balance are rarely shown to you plainly.

Morgan Reed, Founder

I have spent 15 years in financial analysis — modelling consumer credit portfolios, reviewing lending disclosures, and translating amortisation schedules into decisions real households can act on. The pattern I kept seeing was simple: people were not bad with money, they were working from numbers nobody had ever explained to them. A minimum payment looks like guidance. It is a product design choice.

This site is the tool I wanted to hand people: enter your real cards, see the real payoff date, and see the difference your plan makes against the minimum-payment path in plain dollars. Every calculation runs in your browser. There is no sign-up, no lead form, and no balance leaves your device.

How we make money

The calculators are free and always will be. The site is supported by advertising, an optional paid guide, and affiliate relationships with some card issuers and lenders. Those relationships never change what the calculator outputs or which strategy we recommend — the math is the math.

Part of a wider network

MyCreditCardPayoffCalculator is one of five sites built on the same principle: one financial question, answered properly, with a calculator that shows its work.

Editorial note: this site publishes educational tools and general information only. It is not a lender, broker or credit counselling agency, and nothing here is personalised financial advice. See our Terms of Use.
